They go to investigate the scene of the shooting, only to find Calvin’s body has disappeared—until he reappears as a reanimated walker. After Calvin tries to attack them, Nick runs him over multiple times with a truck, leaving the family in shock as they realize the world is descending into chaos.
Nick escapes the hospital and meets his friend and dealer, , to find out if the drugs he took caused his "visions". Fearing Nick has talked to the police, Calvin attempts to kill him in a secluded area of the L.A. river. In the ensuing struggle, Nick accidentally shoots and kills Calvin.
